The Gem Lab Raffle and Our First Practice!

The winning ticket for our raffle at our first practice was pulled from the basket by none other than the owner of Scottsville Ice Arena.

Several months ago, several parents, athletes, and advocates collaborated together to create an ice hockey organization here in Rochester. Our goal was to provide a safe and engaging environment for individuals of all skill levels, with various developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities a space within their local community to learn and play hockey, and build interpersonal life skills in Rochester, NY and the surrounding counties. I am incredibly proud and honored to share, that together, we did just that. Flower City Special Hockey-Eagles landed this past Sunday at Scottsville Ice Arena for our first practice of our inaugural season. I have and will always continue to tell our athletes and families, this is our team, it belongs to all of us! Team work makes the dream work! Go Eagles, so proud of all of you!
